About The Founder
Founder, Raphi Shpitalnik, grew up with an early love for basketball in San Francisco, California. He played throughout middle school, participated in AAU, and was a starter on his high school basketball team. Raphi has always appreciated everything that ties into the game of basketball where his endearment expanded beyond his own court to what happens on everyone else’s.
During his time in college attending Yeshiva University, Raphi’s media company developed naturally with his unwavering passion for basketball combined with his business education and personal camera. He began to capture his own school’s games personally and worked alongside the University’s NCAA basketball broadcast; Raphi’s clips went far beyond physical talent and honed in on the emotional and mental aspects of the sport, attracting followers and audiences far beyond sports fans due to the realness that filled his content. His videos included moments that encompassed more than just a good play, but rather the realness of the game itself, allowing his viewers to partake in these moments.

Not only did Raphi participate in college media, but he also continued to focus on his NBA content throughout his education. During his spare time, Raphi took the same path as many underrated players — through the G-League. He began shooting as many G-League games as possible, working tirelessly to produce top-notch content for rising stars. As the athletes he covered began to shine on the biggest courts, so did Raphi.
This is when his dedication and hard work took off, where Raphi was recognized as a prominent force in the sports media industry. He was then provided media passes to shoot NBA players court-side during the regular season. Raphi personally worked for players such as Lester Quinones, Jordan Poole, Lamar Stevens, Gui Santos, and more.
After graduating from Yeshiva University with a major in Business Analytics and Accounting, he realized his opportunity to devote his career towards developing his company into a full-time business. Thus, Raphi established Highlights From Heaven, focusing on the unique moments that individual players contribute to every game.
